Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered

Playtime: 43 Hours

A fantastic game that comes with my full recommendation!

This games combat & gameplay is fantastic. As a long-time fan of the Arkham games, I was very pleased with how this game played. It was both fun & and exciting swinging through New York to take in all the sites. They even kept a lot of the accuracy to the real world, like having the Guggenheim building at Central Park!

While I do prefer the combat in the Arkham games, I would say this is on par with its quality.

The game has an overall good story, especially the brilliant dynamic between Dr. Octavius and Peter Parker. There are a lot of really well made characters in this game and I really enjoyed Peter's interactions with a lot of them.

That being said, there's also some lowpoints in the characters. MJ is really not that interesting, nor fun to play. Mr. Negative wasn't as interesting as the other main villain, Silver Sable (& her entire group) didn't need to be in this story because she does nothing useful whatsoever & Screwball is the most annoying character in the game.

Also, Silver Sable should not have been able to defeat Spider-man 3 times in a row. She is not strong, smart or resourceful enough that she should be able to that, but through the magic of cutscenes, she can. It's just bad writing, and that gets on my nerve.

I 100%'d this game, and I'd say 90% of it or so was fun. Admittedly, it can get a bit tedious after a while going for every collectible but it was a worthwhile experience. Much better than the Riddler trophies anyway.

Overall, the game is definitely worth a shot!

I hope I enjoy those as much as I enjoyed this one!
