Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

Playtime: 4.6 Hours

Modern Warfare has this reputation for being one of the absolute best games in the series. I haven't played all of them, but I will say that the game is at the very least fun. I played Campaign only and enjoyed the story beats. While I found it generic at points, I will say that the game is very good at making a high stakes situations. Very good at making you think "If I don't get this done, my squad will die, my team will die, my nation will die." I just think the individual moments are better than the story overall.

Played on Regular Campaign, still died a few times but I had a lot of fun. I very rarely play shooting games like this anymore so I had a lot of fun going back to an old COD game, one I've never experienced before, and play through it. I didn't play the game back in its hayday, but I could see why a lot of people are fond of this game.

I didn't play the multiplayer, I only played for the campaign so I can't comment on it. This game is fun, but I really don't recommend getting the game on Steam when it's cheaper to buy it on console for the same experience. The price of this game doesn't go down further than 10 quid,

Overall, I recommend giving this game a shot. But I would recommend a dozen games over it. It's a fun game and I enjoyed playing it, but it's not a game I consider to be a masterpiece.

But if you want to turn your brain off and shoot some guns, this game is for you.
