Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

So recently, I played Modern Warfare for the first time. I thought it was a fun game, but definitely not a Masterpiece.

This game is a Masterpiece.

I thoroughly enjoyed the campaign, I've 100%'d it on Veteran and completed all Spec Ops as well. The game is a masterclass of good level design and an amazing story. The stakes that I praised in the previous game has been raised and I was in complete shock by some of the story moments and iconic architecture being so thoroughly destroyed by war.

Veteran difficulty was hard to beat, but definitely not impossible. The earlier levels are considerably easier than the latter and you have to change up your gamestyle to beat much more cautious. The third & fourth final levels are particularly hard due to the sheer amount of enemies you have to fight. Hardened is probably the best way to enjoy the game, but I had a lot of fun playing on Veteran.

The multiplayer is also fun as well, though I didn't play that as much as I did the singleplayer stuff. There are 3 achievements that have to be gotten through co-op multiplayer which can be done in about 10 minutes. The Spec Ops are pretty fun to play, but oh my lord, are the latter ones hard. For some levels, its a lot of trial and error. For others, you need to look up a guide if you are going to get anywhere. All of these 23 missions are a lot easier to do on singleplayer but getting someone to help out for a few of them makes the game considerably easier.

Nonetheless, I highly recommend you play this game. Both fantastic gameplay and a fantastic story. Full recommendation here.
